Grand Mesa Lodge
Open year round; in Grand Mesa National Forest, about an hour east of Grand Junction on all-weather state highway, this resort features cozy, rustic, housekeeping cabins that sleep from 2 to 8, and a small motel overlooking beautiful Island Lake. Escape the summer heat and relax in Grand Mesa’s cool mountain air at our 10,500′ elevation.
The attractively furnished log cabins are widely spaced over 10 acres for privacy! Each has fully equipped kitchens, gas heat, and bathrooms with showers. One cabin features a rock fireplace and lake view. All cabins are furnished with bedding, towels, barbecue grills, and outdoor campfire area. The motel units are available for those not requiring kitchen facilities. These are true escapes – no phones, televisions, or internet in the cabins.
The comfortable lodge lobby has a scenic view for relaxation, conversation and coffee. Shop in the on-site store for groceries, gifts, fishing and hunting licenses, and supplies. If you really need it, we have free WiFi in the store.
Owners Mike & Rose Wenner
Grand Mesa Lodge has been welcoming guests and creating memories since 1899. Mike & Rose Wenner have owned and operated the Lodge since 2011. The Lodge and the forest setting allow guests the opportunity to disconnect and unwind without the corporate feel of a mainstream resort. “Many guests have become good friends and it’s like welcoming guests to our home when they stay here because we live here and want them to get the most out of their visit”, -Mike Wenner.
